Paul Galchutt

Along with Paul’s current role as a research chaplain with M Health Fairview, he serves as the convener for the Hospice-Palliative Spiritual Care Research Network with Transforming Chaplaincy. He is also a Transforming Chaplaincy Research Fellow and serves as faculty for the Interprofessional Spiritual Care Education Curriculum (ISPEC) hosted through the George Washington Institute of Spirituality. During his ten years as the inpatient palliative care chaplain with the team at the University of Minnesota Medical Center he developed a spiritual assessment template for progress note format. By background he is a Lutheran (ELCA) pastor and has also been a bereavement coordinator. He has a few book chapters in press involving chaplaincy care research. When possible, he seeks the woods or a nine-inning vacation always hoping that this is the year for the Twins.
