1G: GREAT Grief: Grieving the State of the World

Ted Bowman, MDiv

Grieving persons often assert that they are more preoccupied with the state of the world than their own dying. Ways to acknowledge and respond to both losses will be presented and discussed.

By the end of the session, learners will be able to:

  • Acknowledge and affirm any and all losses grieving persons experience
  • Address how fears for the future of the world may intrude on personal losses
  • Explore the link between personal losses and concern for the state of the world
