3E: How to Respond to Target Probe and Educate

The purpose of this session is to provide a high level understanding of the TPE process and to assist agencies in developing a proactive process to respond  rapidly and accurately to clinical Additional Documentation Requests (ADRs).

By the end of the session, learners will be able to: 

  • Understand CMS processes as it relates to Target Probe and Educate (TPE)
  • Identify areas that may increase your risk for a TPE
  • Identify key team players needed to accurately respond to TPE requests
  • Develop efficient and effective processes for a TPE
