4E: Capacity with Confused Adults--Ethical Considerations in Practice

Previously, capacity was viewed in a binary manner. In today's practice, capacity can now be applied to various levels of functional thought, which can lead to ethical practice dilemmas. This session will focus on how to professionally navigate these dilemmas to ensure safety and self determination.

By the end of the session, learners will be able to:

  • Demonstrate 2-3 skills around assessing for capacity
  • Identify 2-3 skills for navigating ethical dilemmas as an interdisciplinary team
