6B: Building an Effective and Functional Interdisciplinary Team

Laura Odegard, MSW, LISW; Gregory Gilbert, MDiv, MA

We will help our audience identify elements of a functional and effective interdisciplinary team. We will explore the effect that a good team has on client centered care, as well as signs that a workplace is not functioning at an optimal level. We will present facts and learn through experience.

By the end of the session, learners will be able to:

  • Identify common characteristics of a functional team
  • Make the connection between a collaborative IDT and client-centered care
  • Build a more effective team for all members
