Kasy Omann, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC; Susie Putzke, MDiv

The options of care for women with a prenatal diagnosis of a life-limiting condition, include pregnancy termination, full neonatal resuscitation, and perinatal palliative comfort care upon delivery. We will explore how to implement and sustain a perinatal palliative comfort care program.
By the end of the session, learners will be able to:

  • Describe the benefits of palliative care applied to the perinatal population
  • Illustrate how to complete a birth plan and neonatal advance care plan
