My name is Intisar Hussein and I have been working for Fairview Hospice for a little over 3 years. I received my Bachelors in Social Work from the University of St. Thomas and my Masters in Social Work from Augsburg University. I am on the executive board of directors for Minnesota Network of Hospice and Palliative Care (MNHPC) and a adjunct professor in the Social Work Department at Augsburg University. I have worked in home care, TCU and chemical dependency before getting my MSW. I am passionate about end of life and bridging the gap in care for patients who lack resources and support. I am a strong advocate for more education around cultural responsiveness and humility for our staff and professionals serving patients who come from different backgrounds.
