Joy is a third year medical student at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in Rochester, MN. A public policy studies major during university, she has been working on palliative care policy as the vice chair of the Minnesota Palliative Care Advisory Council. Besides her clinical and policy interest in palliative care and hospice, she has been a hospice volunteer and conducted end-of-life care research in Southeast Asia.
