Molly Johnson


Molly Johnson, BS, KPA CTP, CHES, has more than twenty-five years of experience in program development & management, public relations, community outreach, and therapy dog training and ownership. Molly started her business, Canine Comfort, LLC, in 2007 and currently works with health care organizations across the country to establish comprehensive therapy dog programs. She is a Karen Pryor Academy (KPA) Certified training Partner and trains dogs (and people!) using pain-free, force-free, positive reinforcement methods based on current science. Molly is an Alliance of Therapy Dogs tester/observer, an APDT Canine Life and Social Skills instructor and evaluator, an HSUS certified humane education specialist, an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator, and a KPA Puppy Start Right Preschool instructor. She is an active therapy dog volunteer in hospice, mental health, college/university, K-12 school, and cancer treatment settings. Molly has experience presenting at the state (ten different state hospice conferences – OH, MD, IA, WI, MN, SC, NV, CA, ID, MI) and national level (twice presented at NHPCO) over the last ten years.
